John built a custom dresser/bookcase built-in for our primary bedroom. It was important to us that it matched the style of the original house trim work, and he was able to incorporate the original ceiling molding. He also created drawer fronts to coordinate with the trim on adjacent doors. It looks like it belongs in our 1934 tudor! We are thrilled with the final product. Thank you, John!

We hired John to build a bookcase in a niche in our living room. Overall we are very happy with the work. John’s price was competitive with other quotes that we got. And his work is custom, as opposed to other companies which have fixed-size cabinets. John was receptive to our design ideas and incorporated them — pointing out areas we might have made a mistake (like the depth of the countertop).

It’s important to know that John doesn’t paint his work. He has some painters he can refer you to. We went with one of his referrals and the work was generally good — just a little rushed, leaving some drips and marks that could have been avoided.

John made a return trip out to adjust the door hinges and install handles. We really appreciated his responsiveness.

We would definitely recommend John for bookcases.
